Their story. Their song.

A completely personal song, created to celebrate someone you love

When someone means everything, an ordinary song does not always feel enough.

At There’s a Song For That, we create one-of-a-kind songs from the memories, stories and little details that made your loved one who they were.

Their story. Their song.

Share their memories, personality, favourite moments and the little things that made them who they were. We’ll turn those details into a one-of-a-kind song you can play at their funeral or celebration of life - and keep forever.

You tell us about them.

- The things they loved.
- The people who mattered most.
- The memories that still make you smile.
- The sayings everyone remembers.
- The moments that made them them.

We turn those memories into a beautifully written, professionally produced song that tells their story.

A song for their farewell. A song for your family. A song to keep forever.

A meaningful part of their final farewell

A personalised song can become a beautiful part of a funeral, memorial or celebration of life.

It could be played as family and friends arrive, alongside photographs and memories, during the service, as part of a celebration of life, or at the end of the farewell.

And afterwards, it remains yours.

Something you can return to whenever you want to hear their story again.

Just share the memories, stories, personality traits and little details you would like included.

How it works

1.

After you purchase, you'll receive a story form in your inbox where you tell us about the person.

You’ll complete this simple questionnaire about your loved one.

There is no need to be a writer.

2.

Once we receive your returned story form, we create their personal song, using the memories you share.

Personal lyrics professionally produced.

Every song is created individually.

No templates. No generic lyrics.

Just their story.

3.

We'll send you your draft song.

You approve or tell us of any changes and we send your final version.

Your completed song will be sent to you, (mp3 or USB) ready to play at the service and to treasure forever afterwards.

What could their song include?

There is no right or wrong way to tell someone’s story.

You might tell us about:

Their personality and sense of humour.

The people they loved.

Their favourite places.

Family traditions.

Things they always said.

Their hobbies or passions.

Special memories.

Funny stories.

The moments your family never wants to forget.

It is often the smallest details that make a song feel the most personal.

More than music

A personalised song is more than just music. It's a piece of them you can keep. A funeral service lasts for a short time.

The memories last forever.

Your song becomes something your family can listen to long after the service - on birthdays, anniversaries, difficult days, or simply whenever you want to feel close to them.

Here's an example of David's story, which was created from memories shared by his family when he sadly passed away.

David was a family man through and through. He had been married to his wife, Margaret, for 48 years and always said marrying her was the best decision he ever made. They had two children, Sarah and Tom, and four grandchildren who adored him.

David was known for his dry sense of humour, his terrible dancing and the fact he could never sit still. He loved fixing things, even when they probably didn’t need fixing and always had a shed full of tools, screws and “useful bits” that nobody else understood.

Sunday mornings meant bacon sandwiches, strong tea and the radio on in the kitchen. He loved gardening, especially growing tomatoes and every summer he would proudly hand bags of them to family and neighbours.

He was happiest on family holidays by the sea. There are so many photographs of him with his trousers rolled up, paddling with the grandchildren or sitting in a deckchair with an ice cream.

David often ended phone calls with, “Look after yourself, love.”

The family wanted the song to feel comforting rather than sad. They wanted it to capture his humour, the ordinary little things they miss and the feeling that he is still part of the family. David's song was played near the end of his funeral service as a celebration of his life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know what I want the lyrics to say?

Not at all.

Our questionnaire gently guides you through the information we need. You simply tell us about your loved one in your own words, and we take care of creating the song.

Can the song be played at the funeral?

Yes.

Your finished song is supplied digitally so it can be shared with your funeral director or celebrant and played as part of the service.

How quickly can you create the song?

Our usual turnaround time is between 3-7 days of receiving your story form.

Because funeral arrangements often happen within a short timeframe, please let us know the date of the service when ordering.

If the funeral is approaching soon, contact us before ordering and we will let you know what is possible.

Can I choose the style of music?

Yes. You will be able to tell us the kind of sound, mood or musical style you feel would suit them.

What if I become emotional completing the questionnaire?

Take your time.

You do not need to complete everything in one sitting, and there is no perfect way to tell someone’s story.

The memories you choose to share are enough.
